Our story

A loyal companion for clinical work

Enkidu Labs is named after the oldest friendship in literature. That is not an accident.

The name

Who was Enkidu?

In the Epic of Gilgamesh, the oldest surviving story we have, Enkidu is the wild man who becomes the king's steadfast companion. He is the one who steadies, who shares the load, who makes the hard road bearable.

That is exactly what good clinical software should be. Not another system demanding your attention, but a quiet companion at your side, carrying the parts of the day that were never why you went into medicine.

What we believe

Technology in medicine should be calm, private and fast. It should earn its place by giving time back, and then get out of the way. Anything that adds clicks without adding care does not belong in the clinic.

AA

Built by a doctor, from the inside

Enkidu Labs is founded and built by Dr Ahmed Al-Obaidi, a general practitioner in Victoria, Australia, with a genuine soft spot for digital health and well-made solutions. Every tool starts with a friction felt on a real working day, then gets built, tested and used against real lists, not a product roadmap. The result is software that feels like it was made by someone who has actually run the clinic, because it was.

How we work

Three rules for every tool

Time back, first

If a tool does not hand a busy clinician minutes back, it does not ship. Simple as that.

Privacy is not optional

Patient data is de-identified where it matters, isolated per user, and never used to track for its own sake.

Tested where it counts

Real consults, real inboxes, real lists. If it does not hold up in the clinic, it goes back to the bench.

Let's build the quiet future together

Got a digital health idea, or the skills to build one? Enkidu Labs loves teaming up with clinicians who see the gaps and software engineers who can help close them. If that sounds like you, let's compare notes.
